OUR CINQUAIN POEMS

We have learnt about a different kind of poem.  This one is also from Japan.  It is called a Cinquain Poem.  It is similar to a Haiku in that each line has a certain number of syllables but it is a bit trickier as you have to include certain types of words in each line.
Line 1 - 1 noun (2 syllables)
Line 2 - 2 adjectives (4 syllables)
Line 3 - 3 'ing' words (6 syllables)
Line 4 - phrase or a sentence (8 syllables)
Line 5 - 1 noun to rename 1st noun (2syllables)

Here are the two poems we came up with.  They are both about Myst.
Chamber
Scary, creepy
Searching, pressing, finding
Message from the turbulent pool.
Dungeon

                                                 Myst Book
              Dusty, mouldy
              Ageing, falling, dropping
Tumbling from the dark, dark sky.
              Journal
