OUR BOOK TRAILERS

For BOOK WEEK we made Book Trailers for the Children's Book Council of Australia short listed picture books.
To make our book trailers we firstly had to find out what a book trailer was, Mr S showed us some examples of book trailers.  We talked about the features of book trailers and which ones we liked the best.  We all decided that we really liked the ones that had music that went with them and the ones that weren't too long.
In class we read some of the short listed picture books.  With Mrs R we came up with our own criteria for what we thought we would need to include in our book trailers to make them a good book trailer and then we came up with features that would make them EXCEPTIONAL.
We worked with a partner and decided which picture book we would do.  We then planned our story board.  After that we spent class time working on our book trailers using Keynote and Garage Band to create our music.  We thought creating your own music would make it an EXCEPTIONAL book trailer, most of us did this but some decided to use other music.
After we had finished them we had to mark our own book trailers using the criteria sheet, then Mrs R marked them.
We worked really well with our partners and enjoyed completing this task.
Most of us chose the books MY UNCLE'S DONKEY, WHY I LOVE AUSTRALIA and MIRROR.
We hope you enjoy our Book Trailers.
